Extended Cryo-preservation, a procedure in which the unborn baby is ripped from its mother, frozen, and forcefully put into a medically induced coma has been lauded by
pro-abortion activists as a 'safe procedure' providing women with 'more choices'. The truth is that this procedure, invented in Japan, has never been proven to be safe
for either the unborn child or her mother.
Hundreds of physicians, both within the United States and abroad, expressed considerable skepticism about the procedure. "It is impossible to state that this procedure is
safe, as there is no way to measure the long-term impacts the freezing procedure has on the child." said Dr. Anthony Valenti, renowned embryologist. Yet, reading pro-abortion
literature on the topic would have you believe that the procedure enables a 'guilt-free' abortion.
This concept is a falsehood perpetuated by the same groups who take something as real as an unborn child and label him a 'choice'. A man whose violent actions places
another in a coma faces charges of aggravated assault and battery, extended cryo-preservation is no different with the exception that
the unborn baby has absolutely no means of defense and the act is willfully performed by a physician with consent from the mother.
In addition, there is no guarantee that when an unborn baby is 'frozen' she will eventually be allowed to continue her growth and development. Concerned Women for America
considers this cruel and unusual punishment, no different from forced imprisonment. We remain committed to keeping the procedure illegal in the United States, and support
all groups advocating for its illegalization in the countries where it is legal.
Extended cryo-preservation is another means by which liberal politicians and their allies are warping science and ignoring facts to push their own cultural agenda. Rather
than emphasize core American values such as responsibility and self-reliance, it offers women a false god of 'new options' by 'delaying' pregnancy. This is an abomination
tantamount to abortion, by having doctors acting as if they were the hand of God. This procedure, as with abortion, contribute to the eradication of the moral values that
have guided our country for 200 years.
