Extended cryopreservation (CP) is a procedure giving women the choice to either postpone or migrate their pregnancy.
Extended cryopreservation's safety Extended cryopreservation is a safe procedure for both the woman and the pregnancy. It is an out-patient procedure approved by doctors and scientists all over the world. The procedure has been performed on thousands of women with no serious complications every reported. There are also no reports of any damage whatsoever to the fetus, and in all cases where the pregnancy has been willfully reanimated have lead to successful, healthy births.
Legalizing Extended Cryopreservation Extended cryopreservation provides more choices for women and their pregnancy. It has been proven to be absolutely safe, yet it is illegal in the United States.
For extended cryopreservation's full potential in postponing or migrating pregnancies to be realized, we must:
- Advocate for legislation to legalize the procedure
- Inform rape survivors about CP
- Educate women and doctors about CP
- Make CP available to women undergoing chemotherapy
